The first quarterly meeting of the Bayside Historical Society will be held 2 p.m. Feb. 21 in the historic John Howland Wood mansion in Bayside.


Presentation Summary: An ongoing archeological excavation at the McNeill Ranch (41VT141) provides new facts about the early peopling of the Guadalupe River Valley in Victoria County. Through the use of stone artifacts and organic remains discovered at the site, this presentation reveals the history of the excavation and what life was like for the earliest cultures that migrated to the Texas Coastal Plains.
