Join us to learn more about how together, we can help to stop the stigma of mental illnesses, including substance use disorders.
Make It OK is a community campaign to reduce stigma by increasing understanding and creating caring and open conversations about mental illnesses and substance use disorders so people get the support, resources, and treatment they deserve.
In this 60-minute presentation, you will:
· Learn more about what Make It OK is
· Better understand the impact of stigma and what you can do to reduce it for those living with a mental illness and/or substance use disorder
· Feel more comfortable and confident in talking openly about mental illnesses and substance use disorders (what to say/not say, how to offer support, etc.)
· Learn about resources and treatments to help people get the care and support they deserve
Presented by Stephanie Kovarik from Healthpartners and hosted by the Afton Bayport Lakeland Lions Club.
