Developing “The Awakened Eye” with Miguel
Sunday, March 29 *11a–2p
This contemplative drawing workshop is a deeper continuation of Miguel’s Learning to See class—created for those ready to move beyond basic observation and into a mindful, embodied drawing practice.
Through breathwork, stillness, and intuitive mark-making, students will explore what it truly means to see. Drawing becomes a practice of presence and connection, allowing plants, forms, and possibly a live model to guide the hand rather than effort or expectation.
Inspired by Frederick Franck’s reflections on drawing as a way of fully engaging with the world, this class offers a grounded, reflective approach to creative expression. Prior drawing experience is helpful, but curiosity and openness matter most.
