My name is Maria Santos and I’m your local Sourdough Cottage Baker! I’d love to share my learnings and passion with you in my upcoming Sourdough Workshop for Beginners that I will be hosting on Sat, April 18th, 2026.

Whether you’ve never baked sourdough bread or would like a refresher, this workshop is perfect for you!!!

When you sign up for the workshop, you'll get everything you need to start your own sourdough journey. This includes a sourdough starter in a glass jar, your own Sourdough Kit (banneton basket, a lame, a bench scraper, a dough whisk, a mixing bowl), a comprehensive Student guide, a loaf baked during class and dough in your basket to bake the following day!  Plus, you'll get access to my private sourdough groups, where you can continue to learn, chat, and share your favorite recipes with the rest of the group.

During the class, I'll teach you what a sourdough starter is and how to care for it. I’ll demonstrate and explain all of the steps of sourdough baking and watch you doing the same! I’ll go over equipment, types of flours, and answer any questions you might have! It’ll be a full hands-on experience! 

At the end, we’ll relax and eat some freshly baked sourdough bread!!
