Survive the Zombie Wilderness Run at Riverside Park This October!

The undead are coming to Riverside Park on Saturday, October 24, and only the quickest (or most determined!) will make it to the finish line during the Zombie Wilderness Run.

Whether you're racing, walking, pushing a stroller, or bringing your four-legged running buddy, this Halloween-themed event is designed for the entire family. Participants can choose between a scenic and challenging 2K or 5K course that winds through Riverside Park's beautiful natural landscape—including hayfields, wooded trails, campgrounds, and finishes with a triumphant sprint to the Ranger Station.

The 2K begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by the 5K at 10:15 a.m.

"This isn't your typical road race," said Kelly Penewitt, Parks and Recreation Manager. "It's a chance to enjoy the outdoors, have some Halloween fun, and make memories with family and friends while exploring one of Bay City's hidden treasures."

Registration is Now Open!
Registration is $40 per participant, with an Early Bird Discount of $10 available through October 9.

Register online at https://www.baycitytx.gov/669/Zombie-Run , or register in person at the Parks and Recreation Office (1209 10th Street) or Riverside Park (7668 FM 2668).

For an additional $10, participants can purchase the event swag package without participating in the race. (We promise—we won't tell anyone you skipped the zombies!)
