Have you ever wanted to camp or pack with your equines but don’t know where to start?
Come join the Washington Trail Riders Association, alongside the Back Country Horsemen of Washington - Mount St. Helens Chapter as we host a clinic that is open free to the public, of all ages, who would like to safely learn how to camp and pack with your equines.
This is a FREE event so please share and bring a friend.

There is plenty of parking so please respect the ADA parking near the front entrance for those who need it.
Demonstrations will start with packing at 10 am
We will provide the following demos and topics of instruction…
- How to pack with your equine
- How to setup & use a high line
- How to hobble your equine
- Trailer maintenance & how to change a tire
- How to setup camp in a bumper pull trailer
- Useful knots for equines & camping
- Out of state travel requirements
- Leave no trace principles
Please no dogs or equines (we will provide the equines for the demos).
For those wanting to purchase food or drinks throughout the day, Grandma June’s food truck will be available.
There will be local groups with information tables to share what they have to offer the equine community so please stop by and say hi!
