Some of our refreshments will feature rose-inspired dishes and flavors, giving you a chance to taste this beautiful flower in a whole new way.Make Your Own Beeswax Bread WrapperAnd here's the main event! You’ve probably seen those reusable beeswax-infused bread and food wrappers advertised—and you may have wondered why they cost so much. Now you can learn to make your own for a fraction of the cost of retail!Made from breathable cotton and infused with beeswax and pine resin, wrappers like these are praised for helping prevent sourdough and artisan loaves from drying out too quickly while keeping the crust from becoming soggy. They’re also a more sustainable choice for the kitchen: using reusable cloth wrappers helps eliminate single-use plastic wrap and reduce microplastics in the kitchen.Art Scarbrough will demonstrate the technique and guide participants as they create their own full-sized reusable bread wrapper. There is no additional charge for the wrapper-making activity, but space and materials are limited, so advance registration through Eventbrite is required to participate in the wrapper-making part.
