The kickoff announcement event will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 6pm at the LaDivina Italian Cafe, 3535 Perkins Road, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70806 The pet art gallery is named after Elizabeth Myers, an avid pet lover and one of the founders of the All Paws on Deck Walk for Pet Cancer Awareness. Previous artists that have exhibited included national recognized artist Bonnie Smith, gifted jazz artist and pet owner Dixie Taylor and Holly Amy Tidwell.This year's All Paws on Deck Walk for Pet Cancer Awareness will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2026 @ 3pm at the East Baton Rouge Parish Library @ Goodwood. The walk honors pet cancer survivors, those who have lost pets to cancer and those committed to find a cure to pet cancer. There will be pet adoptions and informational booths providing information about pet cancer and financial assistance programs for pet parents with pets suffering from cancer. It is a fun filled afternoon of education, demonstrations. Favorite events will include the always popular Cutest Puppy Contest, Owner/Pet Look Alike Contest, "Sexy, Sassy, Seasoned Senior Contest", "the Super Wiggle Contest" and of course the "My Dog Never Obeys Me" Contests.This event features a powerful Pet Memorial Wall for owners to post a memorial to acknowledge their loss.
