There's a coffee shop on every corner these days, but that's nothing new. Some people use coffee shops as the office, a warm shelter or a reading room, and that's nothing new either.

Ever since coffee arrived in England back in the 17th century, it's been an important part of our social, economic, political and cultural life: it's even been accused of emasculating our menfolk!
