Minibus is a group born from community, connection and a shared love of classic tunes. After a couple of years playing together – first through open-mic sessions and now regular gigs – the band has found their groove and are loving every minute of it.
Minibus brings the soundtrack of the 60s, 70s and 80s to life – their favourite eras to play – delivering nostalgic classics with heart, energy and plenty of fun.
On February 27th they will take you on a journey from the chill vibes of sunset to the late night discotheque. Come along and enjoy a relaxing meal with some 60s/70s/80s folk and blues tunes before we take you back to the 70s for a night of dancing. Costume encouraged!
The members of Minibus first crossed paths through a community music program run by Bathurst Uniting Supporter Services (BUSS) and led by Sarah, who now holds down the bass in the band. BUSS does incredible work supporting people experiencing homelessness, financial hardship, social isolation and those navigating or recovering from addiction. Their music program offered an inclusive, welcoming space for the band to find their way back into music after long breaks, building confidence, friendships and plenty of great memories along the way.
