Through a network of 300+ community partners, GLFB ensures that their seven-county service area has reliable access to affordable, nutritious food.GLFB invites you to attend their 35th Annual Empty Bowls event. This year’s Empty Bowls will be open-house style; after purchasing your ticket, you can visit the food bank any time during the morning open house (9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.) or the evening open house (4 p.m. - 7 p.m.) for a guided tour and to select your own handcrafted bowl. This year attendees will:  Tour the food bank and learn how we distribute food throughout our seven-county service area, helping keep food on tables across mid-Michigan for families experiencing food insecurityLearn about GLFB programs connecting neighbors with resources in innovative ways, like Weekend Kits, Senior Kits, Care Kits, Home Delivery, and Garden ProjectTake home one of dozens of unique bowls handcrafted by local potters at Greater Lansing Potters' Guild and Clayworks, whose members generously donate their time and talent to create hundreds of beautiful bowls each year. The empty bowl you receive represents GLFB's commitment to a hunger-free mid-Michigan. A bowl is simply a vessel — the food inside is what nourishes and empowers our neighbors' lives.
