- **Event Description**: You're invited to learn more about the Eurobodalla Health Service including the new $200 million Eurobodalla hospital.About this EventThe sessions will provide an opportunity to hear directly from Southern NSW Local Health District about the process to introducing new models of care for the region, and an update from the project team on the Eurobodalla hospital.Southern NSW LHD Chief Executive Margaret Bennett said it will be a great opportunity for people in our community to get an understanding of what we have planned and how it will support the region’s growing health care needs, and to allow our community to ask questions about the health services planned for our region. The new health facility at Moruya will provide an overall increase in bed and service capacity than both Moruya and Batemans Bay hospitals currently combined and will be designed with the capacity to grow as demand for health services changes in the future. Once completed the new health service will deliver high-quality contemporary and accessible care and feature a new emergency department, critical care services, operating theatres, a day-stay surgical unit, ambulatory care services, increased capacity for chemotherapy and, paediatrics and maternity, as well as education facilities. All members of the community are welcome to attend the information sessions. The sessions will be held in accordance with the latest COVID-19 Public Health Orders and numbers will be limited. QR codes and mandatory mask wearing will be in place for anyone attending. Light refreshments will be provided.Southern NSW Local Health District is working with Health Infrastructure to deliver the new hospital in Eurobodalla to meet the current and future health needs of the region from Narooma to Batemans Bay.
