The table runs long, the platters land heavy, the beer stays cold, and somewhere between the second boerewors and the third helping of bobotie you're best mates with the people across from you. There's no rush. There's no menu choice paralysis. There's just one big shared feast, and the only question is who's going back for more chakalaka.

For two days this winter, that's the table we're setting at Cecilia's.

Cape Malay spice. Durban curry. Proper highveld braai. Landing in waves on one platter built for four.

Live South African music running both nights — Afrikaans classics through to Amapiano. Every dish on this platter has a history, and we've written it down for you.

Sittings : Friday Dinner 6:30pm, Saturday Lunch 12:00pm and Dinner 6:00pm
