- **Event Description**: Hi Classmates, we’re thinking of having a get-together/sort of reunion in the middle of this year as it will have been… 50 years since we left KVPS, this December.

 As you may or may not be aware, our year was the first full year that went from Kindergarten to 6th class and we thought that it should be marked with some sort of celebration. It doesn’t matter if you came later, or were there from the start. You’re still a part of what they’d call the Class of ‘76

So, here’s a ‘Save the Date’ notification for … Saturday 27th of June 2026. 

Venue: Bateau Bay Hotel. 

Time: 3pm start. 

We’d really like to keep this to our year, only. But that includes those that were a year younger who were part of the Composite classes. Also, students that had to repeat 6th class and came back to KVPS in 1977. I remember some that were a year older but repeated in one of the years leading up to ‘76. Russell Perry, Jenny (Lloyd) Batten, Vicki Bell, Mark Spinks, Belinda Turnbull and Donna Pope were a few of those. Even Doozy (Derek Jones) was a year above us when I started in ‘71. I was in 1st class and he was my 2nd class ‘buddy’ who showed me around.

So, if you … *Started in Kindergarten at KVPS in the church hall at Tumbi Umbi in 1970 while the school was being built. Or, if you were in …

*1st Class in ‘71

*2nd Class in ‘72

*3rd Class in ‘73

*4th Class in ‘74

*6th Class in ‘76 

Or in one of the Composite classes, it’d be great to see you. Even if you were only at the school for a short time. We look forward seeing you in late June this year.
