Did you know that in Australia, a stroke occurs every 11 minutes. In 2023, more than 34,000 Australians experienced a stroke for the first time, but the good news is that over 80% of strokes can be prevented.
Gidge Men's Shed is proud to be hosting a @StrokeFoundation StrokeSafe Speaker on
🗓 Saturday, 22 November 2025
🕥 10:30 AM
📍 Gidgegannup Men’s Shed, 2171 Toodyay Road, Gidgegannup WA 6083 (at the showgrounds)
Our guest speaker, Katherine Jafari, is trained in public speaking and experienced in delivering life-saving information about stroke prevention and recognition. Many have either had a stroke themselves or are close to someone who has, so while they will present common information about stroke and its prevention, they will also draw on their own personal experiences so every talk is different and very powerful.
Don’t miss this chance to learn how to recognise the signs of stroke, reduce your risk, and possibly save a life, a friend’s, a family member’s, or even your own.
Everyone is welcome, grab a cuppa, and join us for this important community session!
