New Stars Production und House Music in Basel gehören seit über zwei Jahrzehnten zusammen. Seit 2003 steht das Label für Nächte mit einem klaren musikalischen Anspruch und holte über die Jahre Namen wie Dennis Ferrer, Junior Jack, Sandy Rivera und The Martinez Brothers nach Basel. Am 10. Oktober führt New Stars diese Geschichte im Viertel_Klub weiter und empfängt mit DJ Gregory einen Gast, der dafür kaum passender sein könnte. 

Der Franzose Grégory Darsa gehört seit den 90er Jahren zu den prägenden Figuren der französischen House Szene. Gemeinsam mit Bob Sinclar war er Teil des Africanism Projekts, später gründete er sein eigenes Label Faya Combo. Produktionen wie «Tropical Soundclash» und «Elle» wurden zu festen Grössen auf internationalen Dancefloors und stehen exemplarisch für seinen Sound, der House mit afrikanischen und lateinamerikanischen Einflüssen, Percussion und viel Groove verbindet. Auch unter seinem Alias Point G hat Gregory über die Jahre immer wieder neue Seiten seines Schaffens gezeigt. 

An seiner Seite stehen mit Cristian Tamborrini, Claudio Carrera, Fred Linger und Robbie Romero vier DJs, die den Abend musikalisch komplettieren. Damit trifft eine Basler House Institution auf einen Künstler, dessen Musik seit Jahrzehnten Clubs prägt und bis heute nichts von ihrer Wirkung verloren hat. Eine Konstellation, die ziemlich genau auf den Punkt bringt, wofür New Stars Production seit jeher steht.
