With notable releases like "Santa Cruz" and "Everybody Needs A 303" Cook pioneered a distinctive sound that would eventually be dubbed Big Beat. His acclaim stems from his adept fusion of funky breakbeats with infectious melodies and riffs. Notably, Cook's crossover appeal extends beyond the typical DJ audience, as he skillfully integrates elements of rock and dance music, garnering a diverse and extensive following.
