Los cubanos suelen referirse al son como la madre de todos los ritmos. Dio origen a la guaracha, el bolero, el cha cha chá, la rumba y, por supuesto, la salsa.

Dado que la herencia cultural afrocubana también se puede apreciar en el jazz, estas formas musicales ocupan un lugar destacado. Son Alarde se sumerge en la música tradicional cubana con pasión y energía vibrante, mezclada con funk y reguetón.
