With his new album Possession ringing out free and fine across the airwaves, Ty Segall and his incendiary band (Emmett Kelly, Mikal Cronin, Evan Burrows and Benjamin Boye) ride back into Wadawurrung country to rip hard. Returning after his triumphant 2023 tour, Ty Segall will perform a boot-baiting set at Golden Plains Festival, plus a Barwon Heads headline show.
Ty Segall might just be modern rock’s most fearless shapeshifter. Over the years, he’s released a fuzzed-out glam albums, experimental percussion suites, a Harry Nilsson cover record, a heavy space-rock odyssey, and even a Sundance film score.
Ty Segall’s 16th album Possession (out now on Drag City) is an epic addition to his big, bold and beautiful body of work. Possession sees Ty on the hunt for new horizons, discovering non-stop bangers and inspired new sonics around every bend. The album features some of Ty’s most inspired songs to date, taking a page from everyone’s history to create a modern American noir-cum-classic rock hoedown scored with burnt-filament guitar.
