Efforts to revive him using CPR failed and there was no Automated External Defibrillator (AED) on hand. Since that day, his family created the RunforDylan Foundation. The foundation focuses on providing heart screenings for athletes, and placing AEDs in local parks. The first community outreach program that the foundation started was to put an AED at all city parks in Denton county. So far the foundation was able to install one at Southlakes Park in Denton, which was the park where Dylan passed. Plans to install at Northlakes park in Denton should be complete by May 2025. On May 2nd 2025 the first AED will be placed in Corinth Tx at Agora Park! This is just the beginning! Your participation in the 5k & 1M Fun Run, as well as your donations go towards the foundation's efforts to make sure no other family has to suffer the way the Dorrell family has.
