- **Event Description**: In this workshop class you will learn all the ins and outs of one of the most basic and useful jeweler's tools, which incidentally, is also one of the most hated.

You'll learn about proper blade loading, which saw blades to use for what, how different materials respond, how to mark your material for sawing, inside cuts, and more. I'll have a variety of saws on hand for you to try, including the Knew Concepts and Green Lion saws, which have helped turn many an anti-saw person into a sawing master! This class will also include how to rivet! You'll saw out layers of copper and brass and use spacers to give them a unique shadowbox look. 

Blades, metal, findings, drill bit, and templates are provided. We will be using twist drill bits, center punches, scribers, riveting hammers, sharpies, burlife/beeswax, and adhesives in class.

Bring yourself and a lunch (or plan to order something from a nearby place) and have a zen day of sawing!
