This is a perfect opportunity to see the work up close, ask questions, and learn more about our Artist Lab programme!The exhibition marks the public highlight of SIGNAL’s Lab programme – an innovative space where artists explore the intersection of digital art and environmental themes in contemporary practice. Since 2018, the Labs have nurtured a new generation of artists through immersive workshops, mentoring, and site visits to some of Barrow’s most compelling landscapes.What sets the Labs apart is their long-term approach to artist development, supported by an exceptional calibre of mentors and contributors. Sessions have featured expertise from partners including FACT Liverpool (Charlotte Horn), Abingdon Studios (Tom Ireland), Tate Modern (Michael Raymond), and Jewellers; Jamie Jenkinson and Amy Dickson, as well as renowned artists such as Sue Gill, the late John Fox, Marshmallow Laser Feast, Artfly, and Mishka Henner.Each Lab cultivates a vibrant community of forward-thinking artists whose work is shaping the future of contemporary art. We’ll also be doing a call-out for our next Artist Lab later this year, so this is a great chance to get inspired and find out more about participating!
