- **Event Description**: Please join us for a very special Ontario Junior B Lacrosse League exhibition game vs. the Orillia Kings on Sunday, April 19/26 at 5:00 PM, as we honour the life and legacy of one of our most beloved players, Luke West.

Luke played many seasons in Barrie Minor Lacrosse and, after graduating, became a core member of the Jr. C Bombers’ most successful teams. He first suited up for the Jr. C’s as a Minor Midget at just 14 years old. Known for his toughness, tenacity, and incredible lacrosse IQ, Luke was also a true locker room favourite.

After his playing career, Luke continued to give back to the game he loved, volunteering his time to coach the Barrie U17 team during the 2022 season.

Luke loved lacrosse. He loved his teammates, his off-floor staff, and giving back through coaching. He was someone who made everyone around him better—not only as players, but as people. His passion for the game and for helping others will always hold a special place in the Bombers family.

Luke West tragically passed away on August 27, 2022, at the age of 22.

In honour of Luke, the Barrie Bombers Jr. B Lacrosse Club will be accepting donations at the entrance in lieu of regular admission. Proceeds will be shared with the Barrie SPCA.

Thanks to your incredible generosity, we have raised $4,953.24 for the Barrie SPCA to date.
