NEERLANDIA, ALBERTA - Neerlandia Co-op is preparing to welcome two (2) Edmonton Elks players for a store activation event launching 2026 tickets sales at Neerlandia Co-op, and to celebrate being the Official Fuel Partner of the Edmonton Elks with Federated Co-op and nine (9) central and northern Alberta Co-op gas bars. 

Staff are preparing a fun interactive event with player participation at the Food Store checkout, a Fuel truck decal reveal, autographs and Q&A opportunities, and Photo Contest kickoff with lifesize player cutout of #57 David Beard. Plus enjoy Food Store & Restaurant specials bringing it home with team spirit for the start of the Edmonton Elks 2026 season.

With marketing supports from Federated Co-op and the Edmonton Elks you’ll see lots of new Green & Gold materials throughout the Hardware Store, Food Store and Cardlock Fuel.

The event runs from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026 at Neerlandia Co-op, located 25 kms north of Barrhead at 3224 Twp Rd 615A, County of Barrhead, AB. 

General Manager, Steve DeVries, extends the invitation to sports fans and community members to come experience this in-store event and have fun with the David Beard photo cutout selfies. “For photo contest participants there are two (2) draw prizes in July for two (2) tickets, and for each winning Edmonton Elks homegame we’ll draw one winner for a $100 Fuel Gift Card. Selling Elks tickets is new to us as well being part of the Official Fuel Partner team, we’re happy to provide an opportunity for family-priced sports and entertainment options. Let’s cheer on the Elks!”
