# Event Details - **Event Name**: Barre Players Hadestown: Teen Edition Auditions - **Event Start and End Date**: Sun, 17 May, 2026 at 07:00 pm – Sun, 17 May, 2026 at 09:30 pm - **Event Description**: Barre Players is excited to announce auditions for our August production of Hadestown: Teen Edition by Anaïs Mitchell! Auditions will take place at the Barre Players Theater at 64 Common Street Barre, MA. This production is for performers ages 13 to 19 years old ONLY. Auditions Dates are Sunday 5/17 and Tuesday 5/19 at 7PM. Callbacks, if needed, will be by invitation only on Thursday 5/21 at 7PM. To save time, please print and fill out this audition form: http://www.barreplayerstheater.com/forms/audition.pdf All auditioners should prepare one short selection of a song in the style of the show. A short selection is approximately 16-32 bars of music, or 30-60 seconds. Songs from the show are allowed. Please be prepared to sing a capella or bring a backing track. As this show has very little spoken dialogue, please consider a song that demonstrates your storytelling abilities as well as your vocal abilities. If you are auditioning for Orpheus, feel free to self-accompany yourself on guitar. Playing guitar for Orpheus is NOT required, but the ability to appear as if you are realistically will be. Auditions will also consist of a dance call, so please bring appropriate footwear. Performance dates are August 7th-9th and August 14th-16th. There will be three rehearsals the week of May 24th: Sunday May 24th from 6:30PM to 9PM Monday May 25th from 6PM to 9PM Wednesday May 27th from 6PM to 9PM The rehearsal schedule for the week of May 31st is dependent on space availability at the theater as this is tech week for our June production. Regular rehearsals will be Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 6PM to 9PM starting on June 7th.
