An opportunity to consider and dialogue the issues around this topic in a friendly, non-judgmental atmosphere, honouring one another, valuing one another's views and opinions, learning from one another and acknowledging that none of us yet have a full understanding of this promise found in Acts 3:21.
Over the four days we will hear from each of the four keynote speakers and enjoy both formal and informal opportunities for fellowship and discussion.

The event will be held in our own facilities at the Freedom Centre in Barnstaple. Doors will open for registration from 6.30pm on the Tuesday evening, followed by the first session at 7.30pm. Sessions will be held between 9.00am and 9.00pm on the remaining four days, concluding by 9.00pm on the Saturday. Tea and coffee will be freely available during all session breaks and a light lunch will be provided (Wednesday to Saturday). Supper is not provided but the venue will remain open if you wish to bring in your own food. Downloadable files of the recordings (audio, and video where applicable) will be made available to all ticketholders after the event, together with PDF versions of any slides presentations made available by the speakers. These will be free of charge for your personal use. After the event we also plan to make them available to purchase from our website for others.

This is a very popular holiday/vacation area, so we strongly advise you to book your accommodation as soon as possible after booking your place at the event. Prices rise rapidly if you leave it until closer to the date of your stay, and it can become increasingly difficult to find somewhere suitable, even in June. Please see below for advice on hotels and other places to stay. We are sorry, we are not able to find, arrange or provide accomodation for you.

What is the best way of getting there?

The Freedom Centre is situated on the eastern outskirts of Barnstaple.Download or view directions here.
There is a railway station in Barnstaple, about 10 minutes’ walk from the town centre (about 25 minutes’ walk from the Freedom Centre).
If coming from London, the fastest trains depart from Paddington station. There are also trains from London Waterloo, but these are much slower. Wherever your point of departure, you will need to change trains at Exeter St. David’s for the trip along the picturesque Tarka Line branch to Barnstaple.
On arrival at Barnstaple you will probably wish to take a bus or taxi (both available at the railway station) to your accommodation or to the Freedom Centre.
By bus or coach:
The local bus and National Express coach station is in the centre of Barnstaple, 15 minutes’ walk from the Freedom Centre. Barnstaple is also now on the Megabus network.
Can I park at the venue?
Parking at the Freedom Centre is limited and we can only offer guaranteed spaces to individuals who are registered disabled and have notified us of their need for a parking space. If you need a reserved disabled space, please let us know as soon as possible.
There are two small public pay-and-display car parks wthin a few minutes walk of the Freedom Centre:
Congram’s Close EX32 9AN and
Portmarsh Lane EX32 9HY.
On street parking may also be available in residential streets nearby. For those staying in the recommended hotels (see below), the best option may be to leave your car there and come to the Centre on foot.
Is accommodation available nearby?
Previous conference delegates have found a variety of good accomodation on Airbnb. You might wish to search for local hotels, bed and breakfasts or camping and caravanning on the internet.
The closest hotel is Barnstaple Premier Inn (3 stars, national budget chain). This is on the eastern edge of town, just over 10 minutes walk away from the Freedom Centre. There is a pub-style restaurant attached.
Local family chain Brend Hotels offers a choice of 4 hotels in Barnstaple:
The Park Hotel (4 stars), recently refurbished, about 11 minutes walk from the Freedom Centre.
The Imperial Hotel (4 stars) and The Royal and Fortescue Hotel (3 stars) are a few minutes further away, but closer to the town centre.
The Barnstaple Hotel (3 stars) is on the opposite side of town.
Please remember that North Devon is a popular holiday/vacation area, so be sure to book your accommodation promptly.
What refreshments will be served?
A selection of teas, coffees, water and biscuits will be freely available in the breaks between sessions. A light lunch will be provided free of charge on each of the four days. Please make us aware of any dietary requirements you have when you book.Evening meals are not included but the venue will remain open during the supper break and you may bring food in to eat.
Can I bring my children?
No. We are sorry, the event is suitable for persons over the age of 16 years only and there are no facilities available for children. Children will not be admitted.
Will the events be recorded?
Most sessions of the conference will be both video and audio recorded. Discussion sessions will be audio recorded only. Digital files of the recordings (audio and video) will be available to all ticketholders after the event free of charge for your personal use.
Edited versions of the conference recordings may also be made available for non-ticket holders to buy after the event.
What should I wear?
There is no dress code but we do recommend wearing something comfortable as there will be a lot of sitting down.

What is your policy on cancellation and refunds?
You will be able to cancel your tickets and get a full refund until 30 days before the event is scheduled to start by logging into your Eventbrite account.
If you wish to cancel closer to the event, please contact us to discuss this. If we are able to resell your ticket we may be able to provide a partial refund, making a small admin charge to cover our costs.
If because of unforeseen circumstances it becomes necessary for us to cancel an event, we will make a full refund of the original ticket price to all ticket holders. However, please note that our liability is limited to the ticket price alone. You may therefore wish to check the terms of your travel insurance and the cancellation and refund policies of any travel and accommodation providers before booking with them.
Are pets allowed?
We are sorry, but no pets may be brought into the venue. Assistance dogs are welcome.
What is your policy on accessibility?
The event will be held on the upper floor of the Freedom Centre. Access is by stairs or lift (elevator).
We have no plans to provide signing. If you have a hearing impairment and wish to have a person accompany you to the event for the purpose of signing, please contact us to make the appropriate arrangements for them.
Assistance dogs are welcome.
Will simultaneous translation into other languages be available?
No, we regret that we do not have the capability for this at this time.
