This is a presentation for anyone who has an interest in understanding childhood trauma,
including those who experienced trauma, those who care about someone who experienced
trauma, or clinicians or helpers with a professional interest.
Local psychologist Bill Wahl will explore:
Are there generic words or professional labels that can meaningfully describe childhood
trauma?
What are the known and understandable impacts of childhood trauma, e.g. on the body and
nervous system, emotions, relationship patterns, PTSD, the sense of self?
How might those impacted recover and live life less affected by past events?
Please note: While attendees can certainly ask questions and express their views, for the
purposes of safety, sharing personal details of trauma experiences is not encouraged.
If interested, attendees will have an opportunity to purchase either of the Historical Trauma
Programme Guidebooks at print cost of £6.00 (cash only).
£2.00 per person
