A practical workshop exploring filmmaking techniques and how to apply them to your own films.

The workshop will look at different pre-production, production, and post-production workflows used in both Hollywood and independent films, with an aim to help develop skills for those who want to pursue a career in Film and TV.

John Sellings is North Devon (Ilfracombe) based filmmaker and Visual effects artist. He principally works as a Senior compositor on high end Film and TV projects. His credits include Mission Impossible: The final Reckoning, The Little Mermaid, The Crown and Wheel of Time. He also worked on Hamnet as part of the BAFTA winning and Oscar nominated crew.

He has a strong passion for independent filmmaking working on puppet Horror Abruptio as well as Devon inspired anime, manga, and comics with collaborators under the banner of Sweet Nightmares.

Working closely with his local and Devon wide arts community, he is actively promoting filmmaking and creative skills and workshops as part of a UK wide endeavour to support people into creative based careers.
