Join the North Pennines National Landscape team as we explore the fascinating lives of moths, bats, owls and other nocturnal mammals. Learn how these remarkable creatures navigate the night, where they live, how they hunt, and the clever ways they avoid becoming prey themselves.

Using a range of specialist equipment and survey techniques, we'll detect, attract and observe nocturnal wildlife, offering a rare opportunity to get a closer look at some of the North Pennines' most elusive night time residents.

The event includes a short walk of approximately 1 km over rough ground and is suitable for families with children aged 6–16.
