- **Event Description**: Build your skills and confidence with guidance on poetry basics and idea development - whether for  personal enjoyment or competitions.About this EventNB: This session can also be booked to attend online.Session Five: Poetry as Conversation - Dialogue and ResponseOver eleven themed sessions, participants will look at poetry as song, ritual, experiment, medicine, conversation, protest and more. Each week, we will focus on one powerful way poetry speaks to the world and the self, using examples from both contemporary and classic poets as springboards for our own words.If you're just beginning to explore poetry and want to build your skills and confidence, these sessions are perfect for you. Learn the fundamentals and receive guidance on how to shape your ideas and develop your poetry writing style - whether you're writing for personal enjoyment or aiming to enter poetry competitions.Our poetry classes welcome participants of all levels, from complete beginners to published poets, you can join at any point of the course.Please note there is a supporting Google Classroom for this course and the direct link to join can be found in confirmation email under the Additional information section.If you have any accessibility requirements, please directly get in touch with us at pentoprint@lbbd.gov.ukIf you are not sure if this class is for you or would like more information, please contact us to discuss.
