Thinking of auditioning for MonologueSlam but a bit unsure what to expect? Perhaps you want to get some advice from the MonologueSlam team before the audition day, or want to make sure you’ve chosen the right monologue?
MonologueSlam’s London Producer, Jordan Pitt, will be running these new workshops from TriForce Creative Network.
The workshops are to help you prepare for the audition day and to learn what works best on the day itself. You will learn technical skills that you can use to approach any monologue - how to get under the skin of the character and produce an authentic performance. This is an open access workshop, you do not have to have prior acting experience to take part. The workshops will be in small groups of no more than 15 performers, ensuring you get the attention to help you get ready for the unique experience of a MonologueSlam audition.
All participants will be guaranteed a free audition slot for the next MonologueSlam auditions.
Time: Please select either 11.00 – 15.00 or 15.30 – 19.30 Tutor: Jordan Pitt
What to Prepare: There will be material provided that you will work on in the workshop. If you do have a monologue that you would like to perform, do bring it along. You don’t have to be completely ‘off book’ but it helps to be familiar with the material.
