Spend a morning learning about alorithms and how they can be used to make awesome art work.
Join us for a fun morning of algorithmic fun using the child-friendly programming environment - Scratch. This is a great half-term workshop for ages 6+ who have done some Scratch at school or would like to give it a go. We'll introduce the students to variables, functions, and loops while getting creative with code.
At the end of the workshop we'll be printing the kids artwork on a pro-quality photo printer to take home.
+ How to use Scratch to make visual and interactive artwork.
+ What are algorithms and how to construct them in code.
+ How can we create complex generative designs using code.
+ A look at artists who use code and mathematics to make cool artwork.
+ A print out of your artwork to take home after the session.
