Essex Carpet Clash Round 5
Doors open at 8am for pit set up, no access earlier. Please bring your own tables, chairs and extension leads. We will need your co-operation regarding the pitting situation as it is going to be a little tight and thus we urge you to buddy up with a friend or team mate. If we all share a 6ft or 5ft table this will ensure we all get in the hall and if you don’t we will have an issue so please talk to your friends and find someone to share with. We know this isn’t ideal but we have to start somewhere and hopefully in the future we will be able to expand and give everyone a little more space.
A provisional heat listing will be posted on Saturday and this heat list will be used for controlled practice that starts at 8.30am in that order. There will be one 4 minute practice in heat order and we will expect you to marshal after your practice to ensure no one is on their roof waiting for someone to flip them over and thus wasting valuable track time.
We ask that you do NOT stand on the jumps. This is our first time in jump fabrication and the last thing we need on the day is having to repair a foot shaped hole in them. So please keep off the jumps.
Booking in - you will be confirmed as entered when your car goes over the loop in practice and your pt is picked up. Otherwise we will call you over at the end of your practice heat to gain updated info. So please let us know if this is any different from entering.
We will have a quick drivers briefing and get the 4 rounds of qualifying under way which will follow a round-by-round qualifying format, 2 from 4 to count.
There will be 2 legged finals for all with both mains counting towards your overall position in your final. (should we have time, we will try and get 3 leg finals, with 2 to count. This will be confirmed before the finals)
You must run a bumper, shock protector and ensure there are no loose screws protruding from underneath your car. This is a brand new carpet and we want to keep it tear free for as long as possible.
LiPo’s must be charged within a closed LiPo bag, no exceptions.
There is a café on site that will be serving food through the day. The facility is OK for people to bring their own food as long as it is kept low key and within the hall we aure racing in. If you wish to order food from McDonals/KFC/Subway or the like can you please eat it outside of the facility in your car or at the restaurant itself.
Smoking and Vaping is stricktly prohibited within the building, so if you wish to do either you must go outside, no exceptions.
Finally we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for supporting us on our debut race series. We hope you have fun and should we have any problems we ask you to bare with us whilst we sort things out.
See you all Sunday 24th Mar at 8am...
