Cybercrime: How to Keep You and Your Business Safe Online
Cybercrime and fraud is now more profitable than the global drug market. Cyber crimals are constantly scanning the internet looking for vulnerabilities. A large percentage of crimes occur when the the attacker has found a well-known, easily exploitable vulnerability in an organisation's network. These are all crimes which could have been prevented if the organisation had known about the vulnerability and taken action.
In this workshop, we will explore how we have found ourselves in this position, the techniques criminals are utilising and most importantly what can be done to keep you and your business safe. We will also cover the current threat landscape, importance of strong differing passwords, issues on social media and how staff can become a target for fraudsters/cyber attacks looking to get into an organisation.
Falling victim to cyber crime can cause significant financial loss, reputational damage and emotional distress for those involved. At the end of the workshop there will be an opportunity to ask questions and book your own personal free Business Vulnerability Assessment with the Metropolitan Police.
