Barking Riverside Presents: A Dinner Ladies Supper Club at The Wilds

This November, Barking Riverside’s Supper Club returns to The Wilds – this time in partnership with Dinner Ladies, a female-led, London-based food company known for serving planet-friendly feasts.

The event will give guests the chance to come together with neighbours, and enjoy an evening of great-tasting food.

Guests will enjoy a carefully curated three-course menu using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, with vegan options available.

Dinner Ladies’ ethos, ‘food for positive change’, inspires a dining experience that celebrates great tasting food whilst bringing together communities. For every guest who attends the Supper Club, a meal will be donated towards the Sharing Plates initiative, helping fund meals for Londoners in need.

The evening will feature

‍🍴 A sustainable menu crafted by the Dinner Ladies’ culinary team

🍷 Drinks including wine and a non-alcoholic alternative

🥦 Locally sourced, low-impact produce from suppliers including Wildfarmed (Soho, London) and Ren’s Pantry (Edgeware)

🏠 A chance to come together, meet new people and eat communally with your neighbours and friends

💚 Each Supper Club guest helps fund a meal for a Londoner in need through the Sharing Plates initiative

About Dinner Ladies

Founded and run by women, Dinner Ladies creates remarkable dining experiences across London. Their approach blends artistry with sustainability, turning gatherings into opportunities for good. They’re proud to hold a B Corp certification and partner with ethical suppliers to reduce waste and carbon impact.

Their sustainability ethos is baked into everything they do:

· They prioritise locally sourced, planet-friendly produce and work closely with suppliers to ensure ingredient provenance is transparent.

· They offer vegan options, use reusable packaging, and deliver using a zero-emissions electric van.

· Their Sharing Plates initiative allows guests to donate extra meals to people in need. Through this programme, they repurpose food that might otherwise go to waste and coordinate with organisations like The Felix Project to redistribute it.

What’s on the menu?

Starters

Meat:

· Seared sumac and peppercorn tuna, ajo blanco, chermoula, cucumber

Vegan:

· Sumac roasted aubergine, ajo blanco, pomegranate, dukkah

Mains

Meat:

· Seared Irish Prime beef fillet (halal)

Potato terrine, soy glazed baby beetroot, horseradish, beef jus

Vegan:

· Buttery celeriac root steak

Potato terrine, seasonal greens, horseradish, jus

Puddings

· Warm toffee and ginger cake, cardamom crème anglaise

Vegan:

· Vegan warm toffee and ginger cake, Oatly cream

Tickets

Tickets must be booked in advance. Please arrive from 6:30pm, and no later than 10 minutes before the Supper Club begins service at 7:00pm, so we have time to check you in and get you seated.

Guests may book up to four tickets each.

Guests must be age 18+ to attend. We’re unable to accommodate children at this event.

Getting here: There’s limited pay-and-display parking at The Wilds. Guests can get the EL1 or EL3 bus and get off at the ‘Northgate Road’ stop.

Alternatively, The Wilds is approximately a 10-minute walk from the Barking Riverside Overground Station and the Uber Boat by Thames Clippers Pier.

Accessibility: The Wilds is fully wheelchair accessible.

Please note that guests will be allocated a seat and may not be sitting with their party.
