Approaches to Retirement
Approaches to Retirement: A one day workshop to help you prepare for and reflect on a key stage in your life.
In partnership with the Centre for Policy on Ageing, Livability’s Community Engagement team are piloting a new training offer.
Approaches to Retirement is a workshop to help explore the questions ‘How can you build a later life you’ll value?’ ‘What are my next steps’ and ‘What does a good retirement look like?’
This practical day helps participants ‘find their own story’ and their place in community, offering space to scout out the changing landscape for the journey ahead.
The day will help you to identify your priorities for this next phase of life and offer new ways of thinking about the changes you may encounter.
The content draws from lived experience and is for all cultures and ages from 50+.
Participants will gain new insights into retirement and mid-late life transitions - learning from each other.
At a previous event, one participant said:
I found the day useful, stimulating and most enjoyable and would recommend this for people still in employment as a great way to lay a foundation for retirement and for those already retired as an opportunity to review their retirement through the Questions for Reflection and an exchange of ideas.
At Livability, we’re excited by Approaches to Retirement and believe it has huge potential to catalyse community building & mission, helping participants step into new experiences and friendships. The course is at the development stage and we’re keen to gain input from participants.
Are you 50+ and interested in exploring these questions with others? Are you approaching a later life crossroads or have you made significant changes in the last few years? Come and join us for a step into the next stage of life.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Donations welcome.
