A bit more about Jonathan Sanchez :

Jonathan Sanchez is a performer, teacher, and choreographer based in Basque Country (FR).

Trained at the École Supérieure d’Enseignement de la Danse in Montpellier, he began his career within the structure PLAY - Michèle Murray and toured across Europe with Groupe Tango Sumo with the piece "Around". He has worked with Toula Limnaios, Rafaele Giovanola, among others, and was a strong member of the Sita Ostheimer Company for five years. Working as a performer, rehearsal director and choreographic assistant.

Today, Jonathan collaborates as a dancer with Cie La Parenthèse and co-choreographs with Katia Benbelkacem and recently Nadine Gerspacher for the piece BirdsLAND.

He teaches extensively throughout Europe and was invited several times to choreograph for the program FREEBodies in Barcelona: Zion (2022), Drifting Landscapes (2023), Garage (2025).

In 2024, he co-founded the structure Pirate’s Gospel together with Aurore Lacombe and the first work NAUFRAGE.

Una mica més sobre Jonathan Sanchez :

Jonathan Sanchez és intèrpret, professor i coreògraf establert al País Basc (FR).

Format a l’École Supérieure d’Enseignement de la Danse de Montpeller, va començar la seva carrera dins de l’estructura PLAY - Michèle Murray i va fer gira per Europa amb Groupe Tango Sumo amb la peça “Around”. Ha treballat amb Toula Limnaios, Rafaele Giovanola, entre d’altres, i va ser membre destacat de la Sita Ostheimer Company durant cinc anys, on va exercir com a intèrpret, director d’assaig i ajudant coreogràfic.

Actualment, Jonathan col·labora com a ballarí amb Cie La Parenthèse i co-coreografia amb Katia Benbelkacem i recentment amb Nadine Gerspacher per a la peça BirdsLAND.

Imparteix classes arreu d’Europa i ha estat convidat diverses vegades a coreografiar per al programa FREEBodies a Barcelona: Zion (2022), Drifting Landscapes (2023) i Garage (2025).
