- **Event Description**: As part of our Field Day operations this year we will be doing a from scratch dipole antenna build for a 20m dipole antenna.  For those that may be new to amateur radio or those that may have just never built an antenna before this may be for you.  We will explain the antenna theory behind this antenna, explain how to calculate the length for the legs of the antenna, explain how to tune the antenna and how it interacts with the ground based on its height.  Once we get it built, tuned and in the air we will make a contact or two on it for field day.  This will be a learning event and is expected to take around a fifteen minutes depending on questions.  We will be setup in site 260 and 261 in the Lake view section of the campground.
