The Bhigwan wetland is not only a migratory transit zone, hosting migrants but is also a breeding colony for a  large number of waders, fish-dependant avi fauna such as storks 🪿 , blackwinged stilt, ducks 🦢and ibis, to name few. It is located on the Pune-Solapur Highway around 250km from Mumbai on the backwaters of the Ujani Dam.
