About the event

7th Annual Caregiver Boot Camp
Join the ADRC for our 7th Annual Caregiver Boot Camp, a free educational "survival" program for families coping with Alzheimer's Disease and other dementias. The agenda includes topics such as Dementia 101, Frequently Asked Questions, Dementia Live simulation, and an overview of ADRC services. We are excited to announce our Keynote Speaker: Jody Krainer from the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Institute! Jody's presentation, titled Reimaging the Family Caregiver Experience will look at family caregiver burnout, self-care, and strategies to minimize the risk of burnout when caring for someone living with Alzheimer's dementia.

Caregiver Boot Camp is free to attend, but registration is required and appreciated. Register by calling the ADRC at (608)355-3289 or emailing Marina Wittmann, bWFyaW5hICEgd2l0dG1hbm4gfCBzYXVrY291bnR5d2kgISBnb3Y=. Light breakfast, lunch and a survival kit will be provided for all attendees.
