- **Event Description**: Gather with me Jenni-Rose from Sanctum of the Rose for a family friendly community picnic on Sunday 21st December, near Kingscliff NSW, Ngandowal and Minyungbal country, to connect, share and feast on Summer Solstice Eve. 

Solstice exact this year is 22nd at 2.03am AEDT (NSW TIME).

This is an opportunity to bask in the late afternoon sun as we prepare to meet the power of the longest day of the year and join together to honour the energies of creativity, vitality and abundance and to also celebrate the power and inspiration of community as this calendar year draws towards the holiday season and beyond to it's close.

Details: specific location to be confirmed, it will be beachside but with a view to the Sunset, the invitation is to gather from from 4.30 pm NSW TIME. Sunset will be around 7.42pm. Please note this gathering is obviously weather permitting.

Please bring picnic blankets and food to share, if you have allergies and prefer to bring your own food that's ok Sunscreen, hat and shade is suggested as it can still be warm at this time of day. You may also like to bring a torch if you intend on staying beyond sunset and a candle in a glass jar to light or battery light/tealights. Please ensure you have a bag to take your rubbish home with you. As this is a family friendly event please don't bring lots of alcohol or turn up inebriated or under the influence of drugs.

Water safety: you may enter the water if you choose however please note that it will be unsupervised by life guards and is your responsibility to consider your own safety and to monitor your children at all times!

You don't need tickets for this free event, however if you could let me know if you are attending by selecting GOING in this event, so we have an idea of numbers.
