It's part of the Curiad music and poetry festival, taking place from Tuesday 28th April through to the May bank holiday weekend.

This year, the Pink Hat event will be hosted by Versify, the regular Open Mic run by Katrina Moinet at Blue Sky cafe on Bangor High Street. To find Blue Sky cafe, go up the alleyway opposite Clarks shoe shop. Please note, the event is in an upstairs room with no lift.

The slots are 10 minutes each and, as ever, the early bird gets the worm as it's first-come, first-served, so please arrive early if you would like to read. 

Poetry, flash fiction, rap, or a short (10 minutes only, remember) prose extract are all welcome. 

Best of all, wearing the Pink Hat is well-known to banish performance nerves completely.

We'll be raising money for Bangor Cathedral Food Bank and the M E Association with a collection on the night (by QR code or cash in the bucket).
