- **Event Description**: Let's all POUND THE PAVEMENT to support those affected by cancer.  The 14th Annual Pound the Pavement is scheduled for Sunday, October 4th.

The POUND THE PAVEMENT is a Color Fun Run.  It is a 5K walk/run event. At each kilometer mark, Pound the Pavement runners/walkers are doused from head to toe in a different colored powder. Participants wear white at the starting line and finish the race plastered in color.

And, that's just the beginning of the fun!

Once the run/walk is over, the fun continues at the finish line with a visit to the Sea Dog and two (2) complimentary beverages for all those 21 years of age and over! Don't miss the party with photo ops, friendship, and celebration!

This is a fun event created to support those affected by cancer.
  
The FIRST 200 registered will get a FREE goodie bag. Goody bags contain randomly placed gift cards - are you feeling lucky?

REGISTER BEFORE SEPTEMBER 1st.   All individuals registering before September 1st will receive a FREE Pound the Pavement Tshirt. 

FUNDRAISE and support the Purple Iris Foundation and receive awards based on the amount of funds raised!  

All proceeds go to our programs, helping individuals living in Maine who are dealing with the effects of cancer.
