VRï yw tri cherddor o galon capeli Cymru sy’n rhoi bywyd newydd i gerddoriaeth draddodiadol y genedl. Gyda gwaith ffidl gwefreiddiol, cytgordau cyfoethog, a sain sy’n cyfuno cerddoriaeth siambr ag egni sesiwn dafarn, mae VRï wedi creu “dirwedd sain unigryw a rhyfeddol” (Songlines ★★★★★). Mae eu caneuon yn cysylltu’r gorffennol â’r presennol – straeon o frwydr, llawenydd ac ymdeimlad o berthyn sy’n taro deuddeg hyd heddiw.

Angharad Jenkins yw cantores, cyfansoddwraig a ffidlwraig ddwyieithog o Abertawe, ac un o brif leisiau cerddoriaeth werin Cymru. Gyda’i chydweithiwr ers blynyddoedd Patrick Rimes, mae hi yn ail-lunio’r traddodiad Cymreig drwy dehongliadau arloesol. Mae eu prosiect diweddaraf, amrwd, yn dal egni crai a daearol dwy ffidil mewn deialog fyw, gan gyfuno cytgordau cyfoethog, caneuon bythol fel Myfanwy ac Calon Lân, ac cyfansoddiadau newydd wedi’u hysbrydoli gan dreftadaeth gerddorol Cymru.
