The discussion will be moderated by Professor Enlli Thomas, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Welsh Language, Culture and the Region).   

The panellists: 

Professor Julia Jones OBE, Professor in conservation science at the School of Environmental and Natural Sciences, policy advisor and MBE recipient for services to the environment 

Hanan Issa, Bangor University honorary graduate, National Poet of Wales, writer, filmmaker and champion of Welsh arts and culture 

Dr Salamatu Jidda Fada, Bangor University honorary graduate, educator, conservation leader and advocate for the rights and wellbeing of women and girls across Africa 

Dr Elin Haf Davies, Founder of Aparito, global health innovator and record‑breaking ocean adventurer
