By gofyn i pob blentyn syn mynychu gael ei goruchwylio gan rhiant .As part of Storiel 10 celebrations (Ten years of Gwynedd’s Museum and Gallery being open in Bangor), we are honoured to invite the artist Erin Hughes to run a workshop that goes hand in hand with the techniques she has used in her current exhibition Floored // Flawed, which is on show until September 26 at Storiel.In this workshop, Erin will show numerous techniques to prepare and create designs using the marbling technique. Paper marbling is a method of designing a watery surface, which can produce patterns similar to smooth marble or other types of stone. The patterns result from colour floating on either plain water or a viscous solution called sizing, and then carefully transferred onto an absorbent surface, like paper or fabric, or even leather, to create eye-catching colorful designs.This is a fun educational activity for families and is suitable for children 8+.
