Growing Organic Foods: How, What & When?

Design your own garden, plan your planting and grow your own food organically and successfully on your doorstep with support and expert advice bespoke to you.

Maximise your space and yield with professional training and support that you won’t find online!

2 courses covering how to grow food organically divided into 2 stand-alone days.

Course 1: Designing your Garden

Saturday April 6th - 10.30am-3.30pm

Identify the physical properties of your garden, discover the best food to grow and how to grow it, and take home a planting blueprint tailored to your own garden.

The session covers what should be considered when designing a food garden, such as, types of food plants, space and care, growing systems, soil types and aspects. The day includes a site tour and case study of the permaculture system used at Pen y Bonc, and examples of other food gardens.

Requirements: Lunch, a soil sample from your garden, some images of the garden space you wish to       develop and some rough measurements of the size of your garden.

Course 2: Bigger, Better Yields being run on Saturday, April 27th.

Booking is essential. 10.30am-3.30pm. £32.50 (£29.50 Concessions & National Botanic Garden Members) - to claim the concessionary price, please call 01558 667150.

Gwnewch y mwyaf o’ch lle a’ch cnwd hyfforddiant proffesiynol a chefnogaeth proffesiynol nad ydyn nhw i’w cael ar-lein!

2 gwrs yn cwmpasu sut i dyfu bwyd yn organig wedi’u rhannu’n 2 ddiwrnod ar wahân.

Cwrs 1: Dylunio'ch Gardd

Dydd Sadwrn Ebrill 6ed - 10.30yb-3.30yp

Cewch weld beth yw nodweddion ffisegol eich gardd, darganfod y bwyd gorau i’w dyfu a sut i’w dyfu, ac ewch adre â phatrwm plannu wedi’i lunio’n benodol ar gyfer eich gardd chi’ch hun.

Bydd y sesiwn yn cynnwys beth i’w ystyried wrth ddylunio gardd fwyd, megis mathau o blanhigion bwyd, lle a gofal, systemau tyfu, mathau o bridd a lleoliadau. Bydd y diwrnod yn cynnwys taith o gwmpas y safle ac astudiaeth achos o’r system permaddiwylliant a ddefnyddir ym Mhen-y-bonc, ac enghreifftiau o erddi bwyd eraill. 

Gofynion: Cinio, sampl o bridd o’ch gardd, rhai lluniau o’r lle garddio rydych yn dymuno’i ddatblygu, a rhai mesuriadau bras o faint eich gardd.

Cwrs 2: Cnydau Mwy a Gwell yn cael ei gynnal ar Ddydd Sadwrn Ebrill 27ain.
