This workshop has been designed to help those who are starting their own business and who are participating in the free business support programme - Go For it.

This two hour workshop will help demystify and simplify the book-keeping process for start ups.
It will answer the questions:
Why do we keep books?
What types of financial records are there?
What book-keeping system are we going to use?
What is the ‘Analysed’ book-keeping system?
How does it work?
Why do you use this ‘Analysed’ system?
How do I store my financial records?Accrual based accounting versus Cash based Accounting.
By the end of the workshop participants will have a better understanding of the purpose of book-keeping and how to best manage their financial records in their new start business.
Through the workshop they will also gain practical experience of completing an income and expense analysis worksheet for both an accrual and cash based accounting systems
