Gentle Peace - Album Launch and Art Exhibition
Gentle Peace at Bangor Abbey
(Doors open 7.10pm)
Maeshine “Gentle Peace” Album Launch Concert 7.30pm
Rosie Haghighi “Gentle Peace” Art Exhibition 9.15pm
MAESHINE moved many hearts at Bangor Abbey’s “On an autumn evening” event in October. They are back at the beginning of spring to launch their “Gentle Peace” album in this sacred acoustic setting.
This duo, based in Bangor, fuses celtic, folk, world and new age genres into a unique sound of their own. Inge Persyn’s self-penned songs speak of appreciating the blessings in each moment and her heavenly voice has a pure and uplifting quality. The peaceful nature of her accompanist Anna Smith blends in beautifully as together they take audiences on a mystical journey. Between them they play an intriguing range of instruments.
This long awaited album is produced by Tommy Haghighi whose musical input instils the songs with ethereal beauty.
ROSIE HAGHIGHI is a multifaceted artist who has exhibited her work at various venues in Northern Ireland including Seacourt Print Workshop, QSS Gallery and the Black Box in Belfast. Recently one of her illustrations was on the cover of City Belfast magazine. Including the album cover, Rosie has created thirty stunning works of art inspired by the songs on Maeshine’s “Gentle Peace” album. This exhibition promises to be a heart-warming occasion.
Light refreshments will be served after the concert.
20% of all ticket sales will be donated equally to Alzheimer's Society and Macmillan Cancer Support
