A young nurse, a visionary scientist and an innovative surgeon face opposition from the church, state, media and medical establishment in their pursuit of the world's first 'test tube baby', Louise Joy Brown.  Among these pioneers was Sir Robert Geoffrey Edwards CBE FRS MAE who graduated from Bangor University in 1951 with a degree in Biology. He was one of the British scientists who successfully pioneered conception through IVF. The late Sir Robert’s groundbreaking work earned him the 2010 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. In Joy, he is portrayed by James Norton. Joanna Scanlan portrays Gladys May, the mother of fellow pioneer Jean Purdy. ----Pontio: Joy (12) + Sesiwn Holi ac Ateb gyda Joanna ScanlanDyddiad: Nos Fercher 12 TachweddAmser: 6.30pmLleoliad: Sinema PontioFfi: AM DDIM ond bydd angen tocyn (gweler gwefan Pontio)Bydd Joanna Scanlan, enillydd gwobr BAFTA ac un o Gymrodorion Prifysgol Bangor, yn cymryd rhan mewn sesiwn holi ac ateb arbennig cyn dangosiad o Joy, trwy garedigrwydd Netflix.
